UltiVoice 3.0.0-alpha.2 Release Notes

Release notes for UltiVoice 3.0.0-alpha.2 — rebrand to UltiVoice, Voice Lab UI theme, docs site launch, activation improvements, and sidecar stability fixes.

Version: 3.0.0-alpha.2
Released: 5 June 2026
Platform: Windows x64

Highlights

Rebrand: Omnidub → UltiVoice

The product is now called UltiVoice. All in-app references, the installer filename, window title, and app data paths reflect the new name. Existing activations and license files migrate automatically on first launch of 3.0.0-alpha.2.

Voice Lab UI theme

New dark theme built around the “Voice Lab” palette:

  • Primary accent: indigo #6366f1
  • Background: jet black #0a0a0c
  • Typography: Plus Jakarta Sans (headings and body)

The redesign improves contrast ratios across the board and reduces eye strain during long editing sessions.

Documentation site

ultivoice.com/docs is now live with a full user guide:

Activation flow improvements

  • Activation code exchange is now faster — typical round-trip reduced from ~3 s to under 500 ms.
  • Expired codes now show a clear error with a direct link to generate a new one.
  • Offline grace period extended to 30 days for Professional tier.

Bug fixes

| Area | Fix | |---|---| | NVENC export | Fixed crash on videos longer than 45 minutes with H.265 NVENC encoding. | | Sidecar stability | Fixed race condition on startup that caused the sidecar to fail silently when GPU initialisation took more than 10 s. | | Translation | Fixed segment boundary misalignment when source audio contains long silences (>5 s). | | ASS subtitles | Fixed incorrect character encoding for Vietnamese diacritics in exported .ass files. | | Model detection | Fixed false “model missing” warning when model files were present but stored in a path containing non-ASCII characters. | | License beacon | Fixed beacon retry loop that could spin at 100% CPU when the network was unreachable for more than 1 hour. |

Known issues

  • ARM CPU (Snapdragon X): Pipeline crashes during Whisper inference. ARM support is planned post-1.0.
  • Very long videos (>3 h): Translation stage may OOM on machines with <16 GB RAM. Workaround: split the video before importing.
  • macOS / Linux: Not supported in the 3.x family. macOS build is on the roadmap.

Upgrade instructions

  1. Download the latest installer from ultivoice.com/download.
  2. Run the installer over your existing Omnidub/UltiVoice installation — it upgrades in place.
  3. On first launch, the app migrates app-data paths from com.btgroup.omnidub to com.btgroup.ultivoice automatically.
  4. No reactivation is required.
