Activation

Activation binds your license to a specific machine using a hardware fingerprint (HWID). Each activation consumes one seat from your license. You must have an active internet connection for the initial activation.

  • UltiVoice installed on the target machine — see Installation.
  • A purchased license visible in your account at account.ultivoice.com.
  • Internet access on the machine being activated.
  1. Open the account portal

    Navigate to account.ultivoice.com/account?desktop=1 in a browser on any machine (not necessarily the target machine). Sign in with the email address used at purchase.

  2. Generate an activation code

    On the Licenses page, find your license and click Activate on this machine. An 8-character one-time code is displayed — for example, A3BF-7X2Q. This code is valid for 15 minutes and single-use.

  3. Enter the code in UltiVoice

    On the target machine, launch UltiVoice. The activation dialog appears on first launch (or go to Settings → License → Activate). Type or paste the 8-character code and click Activate.

  4. Activation completes

    UltiVoice connects to the License Authority, verifies the code and seat availability, and writes a signed .lic file to %APPDATA%\com.btgroup.ultivoice\license.lic. The dialog closes and the app is fully functional.

The .lic file is stored at:

%APPDATA%\com.btgroup.ultivoice\license.lic

Do not delete or move this file. If it is missing, UltiVoice will prompt you to activate again (this does not consume an additional seat if your seat is already registered — it simply re-downloads the file).

Go to Settings → About (or Settings → License). You should see:

  • License status: Active
  • Plan: your plan name
  • Expires: expiry date or “Perpetual”
  • Machine: this machine’s name
